If you have computer files or folders on your computer to use very often, being Windows user, you can create unfolded lists in the right down corner of your screen, on the task panel, to have a fast access. Please see the picture below.

There is a simple way to make lists like these. It's necessary to click on the task panel with the right button of the mouse, select “Panels” > “Create Tool Panel” in the menu and point the folder for the list.

Do you use your lifehack?
How many files or folders do you have in one of your lists?
Is the list tally limited?
How can I change or delete these lists?

Microsoft Windows 8 and 10 both come with pre-installed firewall utility, although it may be disabled by default. Below are steps that can be followed to enable or disable this feature in these versions of Windows. If you are looking for information about disabling a firewall other than that which comes with Windows, see our page on disabling a firewall program installed on a computer.

Enabling Windows 8 or 10 firewall

Caution: Only one software firewall should be enabled at a time. If you have an antivirus or other security program installed with its own firewall, make sure it is disabled first.

Open the Control Panel
Click on System and Security
Click on Windows Firewall.
If the Windows Firewall is disabled, the Windows Firewall state will be Off. To turn it on, in the left navigation pane, click on Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
In the Customize Settings window, select Turn on Windows Firewall and click OK.
Disabling the Windows 8 or 10 firewall

Caution: Unless you are troubleshooting an issue or plan on installing another firewall, it is recommended that you do not disable your Windows Firewall.

If you are disabling the firewall because a program can't access your computer or the Internet, try to allow the program through the firewall first.

Open the Control Panel
Click on Windows Firewall.
If the Windows Firewall is enabled, the Windows Firewall state will be On. To turn it off, in the left navigation pane, click on Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
In the Customize Settings window, select Turn off Windows Firewall and click OK.

Do you use your lifehack? → Yes, I do.

How many files or folders do you have in one of your lists? → I have about 25 folders. They occupy all place from the bottom to the top of the screen.

Is the list tally limited? → No, it isn't. When the number of items too big, the scroll arrows appear.

How can I change or delete these lists? → For changing it's necessary to change the set of items in the folder which was used for creating the list. For deleting it's necessary to click on the task panel with the right button of the mouse, select “Panels” and unchecked the list you want to delete.

— My questions to you life-hack (your life-hack) .

1. Why is it necessary to use a Firewall? What happens if I do not?
2. I use the version of Windows older than Win8. Do the problem with default Firewall disabling exist for the earlier versions?
3. Will my computer work slower if I turn on the firewall?
4. Is the Windows Firewall the best of the firewalls or it'll be better to buy another product?

1. A firewall helps you to protect your connection to the Internet. If you do not use a firewall someone may use your data or steal your confindetial information.
2. I wrote in my lifehack that you may disable your firewall if you use a third-party anti-virus software.
3. Yes, it will.
4. It is up to you.
